BAD MODERATORS!

Featured Replies

This arbitrary removal of many threads from the Yeti forum is rubbish! If, for example, I want to engage in a discussion about snowchains, and whether they fit the Yeti, that is very model specific. The handbook says chains don't fit the Yeti with 225/50x17 tyres, and I want to know why. That's got nothing to do with a Fabia, Octavia or whatever. I want to find what I'm looking for quickly by talking direct to other Yeti owners. This is poor and overbearing use of moderator power!

Oh FFS - there are something like 60 seperate fora on the Skoda website and I really cannot be arsed to read more of them than this one-which seemed just fine.

Agree completely.

I spend far too much time already reading Internet forums, mostly in connection with my day job. I'm only ever likely to keep up with one single Yeti forum - beyond that the signal to noise gets too low - and so my vote is that the forum should be for existing and would-be Yeti owners and anything relevant (which certainly doesn't include eg PC problems) that they might wish to discuss rather than the narrow category of topics around what makes the Yeti different from other vehicles. I suspect that if BriSkoda don't want to fill this wider role then some other forum will.

I can feel a sense of deja vu coming on :(

You should see the amount of reports we get saying "in wrong section, should be in "Tyres" forum" from members. I probably personally wouldn't move a snow chains thread as that's not directly about tyres. Not sure who did move that one, but going to move it back to Yeti. Always handy to put "Yeti" in the title and its less likely to be reported by someone who thinks its in the wrong forum.

This is a stupid bout of hyperactivity by mods with too little to do.

What interest should I have in the tyre choices of Fabia or Superb owners? What value is there in our views of what works well on Yetis for others.

My ride and handling impressions following my fitting of 16" rims and winter tyres are a tiny contribution to the -once lively- debate on here among people with the same chassis and body configuration.

This place appears to be run by and for people who either don't have Yetis or not even Skodas-Gadgetman is an owner of an octavia good luck to him but his chosen workhorse is a Ford. I have been in many and understand why people want them-I don't but he has dictated that Yeti owner's interests are secondary to his?

Mods are right to intervene if members post offensive or spamming material and to deal with trolls.

Their CDO (that's OCD in alphabetical order) filing based activities carried out without explanation or consultation are just annoying.

Speaking from mount olympus and locking their threads and pinning them is arrogant.

if posts ARE Yeti specific then report the post and we will re-examine and move back where necessary.

The model specific forums are for just that. Model specific issues and chat. For everything else there will be a suitable forum section on Briskoda.

Please also refer to the forum rules with ref to discussion of staff actions.
