CRD Tuning

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any experience with this?

vRS 170 CR 170 BHP to 212 BHP

350NM to 415NM

All for 89 Euro!!

Sounds too good to be true, but ive got my credit card at the ready just in case!!

Seems extremely cheap - the going rate is around £400-500 for a remap. Unless this is a 'tuning box' which will most likely be a couple of resistors that give false airflow and temp readings to the ECU.

Until you give us more details on who is offering you this we can't give you any more advice.

If it does more than 190bhp I'll eat it. And it'll probably block the DPF before it does that.

I live by the maxim - "you get what you pay for"..................

would I trust an 89Euro map on my vehicle? Not on your life.

The figures are b*l*o*ks as well.

I agree, you pay your money and take your chances with remaps.

Max you can expect on a CR is about 205bhp.

Its a digital tuning box , i used one by a different manufacturer on a Seat toledo tdi and did 60k with no problems , BUT , the Seat did not have a DPF , if it had i suspect i would have had problems because with the power came black smoke(soot) , the unit had an adjuster to cut this down but it always smoked more than std .

Personally i would get a remap on your CR , long term it would work out cheaper than a new DPF .

2.0TDI CR170 + REVO is the way forward

Ben at Shark Performance has remapped many CR engines both CR110 to about 170, CR140 to about 180/190 and the CR 170 to over 200.

He does brilliant maps, he isn't interested in the figures, just drivability. Transformed my Yeti.

Not heard anything bad said about him. He was even on chat last night.

lol if you think 170 to 212bhp is optimistic then check out what else they state

they reckon there box will give a 1.2tdi Roomster a 45bhp boost up to 120bhp.
