Continental winters TS830P in 18" now at Kwik Fit

Featured Replies

As per title.

I've been looking for a while now for these tyres for my 2011 vRS (225 x 18 x 40), rated by EVO magazine (amongst others) as the best winter tyre available.

Locally to me they are £200+, and whenever I find a cheap price on-line there 'not available'.

So I couldn't believe my look when I saw them at kwik-fit.com (they weren't there last time I looked earlier this week), at a fantastic price of £152.60 + £10.50 fit & balance.

Booked and paid for 4 to be fitted in 2 weeks time.

Anyway, thought I'd share that with you if you are in the market for some winter tyres.

That's a top notch price for those tyres. You're on a winner there.

Glad to see you are sticking to the OE size and not dropping to 16" steelies!

Cheers mate. Had them fitted today

Really pleased with the price.

Would post picture but they look the pretty much the same as before! 18's all the way for me.

Hope they haven't damaged the wheels. They seem incapable round my area to fit tyres on rims larger than 16inch without damaging them.

Funny you should say that as they are the ONLY garage round here that seem to be able NOT to damage wheels when changing tyres.

I went round the wheels with the fitter before I left the car, told him I was a bit precious about my wheels. He even commented on the excellent condition they were in!

Had a good inspection after they were fitted - not a mark on them

So would thoroughly recommend the Spring Bank branch of Kwik Fit in HULL. (second time they have done a good job for me)

Had a couple of bad experiences with a local branch of the Hi-Q franchise. They seem incapable of fitting tyres without removing bit chunks of your wheel.

Yes i am very precious too.......if you are like me then do not take them to Kwik Fit in Wellington, Telford and under no circumstances let Kwik Fit in Stafford Park Telford refurb them for you (twice badly). Glad i have never took mine their. Independents are in my experience much better as they have more to loose. :giggle:

Just goes to show you it's down to the guys who run the place (or in this case the lad who looked after me). He was spot on, and went out his way to re-assure me that the wheels would come back in the same condition as they came.

I'll make sure I stay clear of those you mention. likewise steer clear of Hi-Q if your ever in Hull (lucky you :D )

Never been and don't plan on going anytime soon

Need to get one of my 18s refurb'd over the winter due to South Staffs council incompetent highways maintenance though :'(

Think we need a name and shame thread on here :giggle:
