I've suggested previously that the Octy VRS seems to be damned with faint praise in the motoring press recently so I was pleased to see in the latest edtion of "Car" in the revised GBU listings section the petrol VRS gets a five star rating and the blurb says "VRS is an overlooked gem"

To put that in perspective the only Audi with a five star rating is the R8 V10 and the only VW is the Golf GTi. Praise indeed.

Good to see it is in fact a 5 star rating - well deserved and long overdue.

Downside is that as the secret gets out everyone will want one and the waiting list will get longer. Upside though is that it will help to hold up used prices.

From very recent experience don't get your hopes up on that one.

Dealers just don't want 'large' petrol cars at the moment unless they're something very popular like a GTI or M3.

Ah yes, the M3. The only 3 series saloon with five stars like the petrol Octy VRS.
