Hi, I have a 6 week old fabia and whenever I turn my heater fan on it always comes on with air conditioning lamp on. It does this whether the thermo is set to cold or hot and anywhere in between. It does my head in always having to turn off the a\c button everytime I turn the heater on. Is this normal, does everyone's do it like this, or is mine faulty. It's driving me mad now :-(

Mine always comes on, but if i set it to AUTO, then push ECON, it will keep the aircon off

even when you take the key out and start the car again.

Mine does it if the fans are directed to the windscreen... I think it's part of Skodas quick clear windscreen idea...

It's normal as its air conditioning not just air cooling, so it's removing moisture from the air etc, quicker demise with a/c on.

With the heater on the a/c system is running (even if you have switched the button off) but a low loading so it's not doing much other then circulating the gas/liquid in the system.

If you have the air control turned to windscreen only then yes aircon will always come on. Turn your air control a little off windscreen and the problem will be solved.

i have mine on foot-well/windscreen. Aircon works at a temperature of 16 deg celsius. So any outside tempriture lower than that will activate aircon when windscreen demist is selected
