Change car or upgrade this one ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a diesel Limited Edition hatch, fitted with Noise Killer, Rear Bumper Beepers (with distance readout) Premium Bluetooth and a Superchips remap. With only 25k miles.

Come the beginning of 2012, I could get a shiny new car. But I can’t really see the point. I would only get another vRS (what else is there?) and spend a fortune bringing it up to this spec, costing me significantly more than I got this one for (Around 16k new!)

So, I think I’ll be keeping her and spending some money on upgrades; What would you do ?

Cornering lights, better tires, LED lighting etc are all in the game.

I would also like to change the Bluetooth kit to be a non RSAP, so I can use internet and access emails on my phones! (grrr)

Cheers

Zach

have you sat in one? I much prefer my Octavia, to SWMBO's Leon (not a cupra R in fairness)

341 to 1305 litres of boot? I don't think so. That would reduce my Apple=>Cider Yield by 100 Litres!

It would only be an Octy Vrs (perhaps DSG mind you) that I would buy.

The Leon was always let down by a 'dull as dishwater' interior.

The latest ones however are much improved...

Stick with the LE, save the cash and enjoy

haha that pic is fantastic.

yeh sat in and drove one handles so much better than the Vrs but your right about the interior its a bit...hmmm bland yes and slightly smaller inside.

The New R seats are awesome looking though but not sat in them although the look reaaalllyyyy comfy. :)

I had a thing for a Superb for a while, but then woke up and realised that it's just too big.

However, the 1.8TSI Octavia looks very attractive. Would you go for an L&K for some goodies?

EDIT: Though given that you are in an LE hatch - I'd be keeping that!

I'd have loved one of those.
