Total price for a 312mm brake conversion?

Featured Replies

What sort of price would I look at if I were to go down the 312mm route for everything I would need for my Fabia vRS, including someone to fit it?

Thanks

Brand new bits or second hand?

Second hand bits should cost around

DS2500s

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Meeeeeeaty pads ;):D

I paid about 300 for my complete setup

As above except for the Super dot 4. Aslo fitted by a trusty mechanic

Recommend EBC oem disks.

If the DS2500 are that good then I would be interested in getting them fitted as well.

I'm finding the standard brakes aren't upto my expectations.

Birtley isn't too far away from me.

Well blow me down, mine was also fitted by a well known trusty mechanic :)

As for disks I opted for EBC turbogrooves, look fantastic, work fantastic

Hey Walkie, do you mind me asking how much it set you back.

I'm also finding that the breaking lacks feel and bite, which can be a bit disconcerting.

Also, can anyone recommend a good place to get the work done. I'm based just south of London, East Grinstead to be precise.

Cheers,

JT

I have heard a fair few people at seatcupra.net say that even a replacement fluid makes things a lot better. My brakes felt crap tonight. I am looking forward to getting something done about them.

I think it was ScoobyChris who posted a link on here (recently) from a Lotus site that may help make the brakes better. I am yet to try it myself.

Discs, calipers, carriers
