PD105 EGR cooling unit - water cooled - £20

Featured Replies

I have this bit of metal left over from an intake I wanted. Off a PD105 1.9 engine, from a Seat Leon (I think BXE code) so should be same as Fabia PD105 / Octy / others?

Only want £20 all-in for it, as its basically no use to me. Any takers for spares? :)

Could do with shifting this. None of you EGR cooling fabia (etc) owners fancy having this as spares? :)

Pardon my ignorance but i've never even heard of one of these

I'm guessing they cool the EGR gases. What cars are they standard on and can you just bolt onto, for example, a mk1 fabia vrs?

Any benefit to having one?

Sorry for all the questions! cheers!

To bolt on to fabia mark 1 you might need some extra pipework as I think the water system goes through it. It came standard on the BLT engines (I think) I am not 100% sure. It was definitely an add-on reference emissions.

Will this fit a pd 130 engine - Octy mk1?

yes, but as mentioned above, if your system didn't come with an EGR cooler as stock, you might require some other bits of connectors to get fully operational. It should bolt up to the intake manifold fine, and connect to the EGR unit on the intake. Just not sure about the connection down on the exhaust downpipe though.

I've also noticed the black pipe/unit on the back is some kind of vacuum actuated lever - Again I don't know what this lever actually does. I think to be safe it would be best to have this as a like for like spare on a car which already has the Euro IV emissions stuff fitted. :)
