Hang on - I just twigged! Not eibach dampers, but just springs with vRS dampers...

Teach me to read the post too quick. I understand thats a good match up too though, especially going from the standard TDI suspension setup.

Where did you get the springs from and how much were they? Also are they easy enough to fit or is it half a day of a job?

Like Jase (or is that because of Jase ), I opted for the Eibach springs and dampers and agree with the transformation you noticed! Car now loves being chucked into corners and there's plenty more grip even on the 14" alloys. Still a bit of body roll though, but I'm working on eliminating that

Did you go for the vRS dampers specifically or were they just a good price? I only ask because I will have to uprate my Combi at some point in the future. Body roll sucks! I used to have a 328i with bm sports springs on it . Certainly notice the difference. You'd recommend the Eibach/ vRS combo then yes?

Got the VRS shocks from someone on here for 60 pounds, also had driven a vrs when thinking about buying, but the price was too high for a used car so went for an X reg 1.9 tdi elegance even though it was so soft and wollowy in comparison.
