Just had a go with my laptop, a super cheap OBD-II cable and VAG-COM software.

Auto-scanned my Fabia 2 (HTP70) no problem at all.

I have two fault codes as a result:

The first (Address 17) is my outside air temperature sensor not working, which I'm already aware of and really don't care about.

The second is interior monitoring sensors (Address 46) I had my drivers door open while doing this...is this likely to be the cause?

As you say this should be the door switch open.

It should tell you how many occurrences?.......

I'll do the test again with the door closed.

Anyone know anything else useful I can use vag-com for? its all new to me

You might struggle to get the long coding helper up with the copy you have (same as me)

Coming home/Leaving home lights

Alarm Chirp for Lock/Unlock

Large Speedo in MFD and remove Kph

Unlock all doors 1 button press

Anti Hijack on setting away
