iPad cleaning

Featured Replies

What do you guys use to keep the screen clean on the iPad? Just an idle thought thats all..

Any glasses cleaner or alcohol free wipes should do fine.

My sleeve and some spit

Panal wipe or glass de-greaser. Neither of them leave a smudge or smear.

Pentax camera lens cleaning cloth, if I was ever caught dead with an iAnything. I use my Pentax cloth to clean all of my screens and lenses.

Glass cleaner and a spectacle cloth for me.

Trouble is the first time you use it again you get finger marks all over the screen! :D

That's the price for touchscreen I suppose.

Still far better than a clackety keyboard though :)

That's exactly the issue I've been having, although I do use mine with a separate Bluetooth keyboard sometimes.

RS optical equipment cleaner :)

Non bio, 30 degree short cycle, Slow spin emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Steel wool, best thing for 'em ;)

Anything you'd use on your specs I'd say.

I wasn't joking, isn't that the point of a screen protector?

I hardly ever clean my specs either.

+1 prefer a fast 1200rpm spin cycle.

Screen protectors are supposed to prevent scratch and other damage to the screen, I believe, not to keep 'em clean

Exactly. You can't keep a touchscreen clean if you like to, er, touch it and you use a screen protector so you can 'clean' it with anything to hand :p

I use a microfibre cloth for my iPhone with scene protector and my glasses,

Baby wipe and a tissue.

1200 isn't fast

My machine can spin at 1600 :giggle: the faster the spin, the less need for a 'tumble dry' ;)

The best cleaning stuff I have come across for iPhone, iPad and especially my MacBook Pro with the aluminium body and glossy screen is this iKlear kit I bought from an Apple store probably 3-4 years ago. It came with some spray, a little microfibre and a weird larger cloth with an almost suede feel to it which is awesome at buffing up shiny surfaces without leaving a single swirl :)

I don't know if you can still buy it but it's worth looking into, it's an epic little set of stuff.

4 parts water to 1 part white vinegar and a lint free/microfibre cloth

I think this will solve all of your cleaning issues. emoticon-0144-nod.gif

mmmm I-Pad smoothie :cocktail:

AHHHHHHHHHH.......thats why all the above suggestions are not working!!!.......

....What you need is (for a wooden chopping board)...very hot water and a very good scrub with a nylon bristle nail brush. But if it is really bad use some bleach bleach first and then scrub/rinse throughly after!.. B)
