Good morning all

I picked up my "new" Monte Carlo 1.6 TDI (105) in white last night. I say new, but it was a demo car for the garage. I'm very impressed by the drive and looks of it. I was looking for a VRS but the waiting list is very long at the moment, not just on the VRS model but also the Monte Carlo (or so the garage told me). I've owned a fair number of cars in the past. Ranging from little cheap run arounds to very highly modded petrol and diesels motors.

This is my first Skoda and am very impressed. I would be looking at a re-map in the new year (Not interested in the plug in box before anyone mentions it). Question I have is, has anyone had a remap done and how does the car drive now? What is the score with warranty if I do re-map it?

Thanks

Hi good to have you on board, I have had 2 remapped cars but both were just pass there 3 year warranty date so it was no problem but with a new car or near new i think it could be a problem. I guess if you had some sort of miss fire the garage would blame it on the remap even if is was not. So you could be honest or just not tell them.
