Is there anybody who has tried the Yeti Sport Seats?

Featured Replies

I am aware that the Yeti Sport Seats have (as far as I know) not been available in the UK.

Still, maybe some of the non-UK members of this forum have experienced the Sport Seats?

The "standard" Elegance seats are said to be good (and seems wider than the ones on the Octavia), so I hope the Sport Seats are even better, without beeing impractical.

I am 183cm/90kg with somewhat long legs, and have found the following sport seats NOT to my likeing:

Skoda Octavia; the seat base is too narrow, makeing the front part of the side bolsters "bite" into my thihes.

VW Touran; the side bolsters (of the seat base) are to high, makeing it somewhat cumbersome to get in/out of the seat.

Do the Yeti Sport Seats have any of these "problems" for a guy my size?

I haven't tried Yeti 'sport seats' but suggest they are likely to be similar to the Octavia.

you will then think that these will not work for you but, having had an Octavia vRS TDI for 3 years and there being a lot of discussion on the forum about the seats the 'pain in the thigh' is primarily down to a poor driving position with the driver having legs 'spayed' as opposed to 'straight'.

PS> At 191cm and 102kg if the Octavia seats were too narrow I think I would have found this problem; which I didn't.

Thanks for your reply!

Hmm...

Haven't thought of it like that, but You might be right.

When driving, I don't normally have my legs 'staight', because I dont't think it is comfortable like that.

But then again I have never had a car with any kind of 'sport seats', and not been into motorsport in any way.

I am awere that the Yeti 'sport seats' might not be considered real sport seats, but since I am not interested in sportcars,

these seats are as far as I would ever go (to get some more sidesupport without sacrificing practicality).

Maybe I should just stick to the standard seats (and get a passenger frontseat with a foldable backrest)...

If you are looking for 'sport seats' to hold you a little more firmly may I suggest you look at a CG-Lock as here;- http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/

I've been using one for the past year and thought on many occasions "why didn't I get one of these sooner".

+1 for the CG Locks - ace piece of cost effective kit.

Eibachs on tomorrow, BTW - report to follow

Thanks  Good luck.

Any chance of 'before' and 'after' pics with your report?
