So after cancelling my original order after build week was put back to week 8 2012, my replacement VRS from stock is at the dealers.

It arrived at lunchtime yesterday, i saw it at 4:30 and it already had my new private reg plates on it!.....well impressed.

I was able to have a quick check over it and sign the papers, all being well i will collect 12pm friday from Vindis in Cambridge.

I think i have been fairly lucky in finding a replacement car of the same spec as my original order (actually better spec) and have been able to have it within 3 weeks as it was already built and at Emden.

I still find Skoda's ordering and build week system to be a complete lottery, and you really have to keep on at them (Skoda UK that is) if you want something to happen.

Vindis for the most part have been great, dealers in general need to fight a little harder for you sometimes, but Skoda only usually listen when you kick up a stink. They will listen more to an irrate customer than a dealer, which can make the dealers look a bit stupid sometimes.

I don't think Vindis could have done anymore though, the guys i have dealt with have been very helpful (you know who you are) and they are bending over backwards so that i can collect on friday.

I will post pictures when i take some decent ones in the daylight.
