Need Rotor Brake Disc Part No x Octavia 1.8T

Featured Replies

Hello Guys,

I took the car to the Skoda Dealer for regular maintenance and to change some bushings on the suspension and fix a coolant leak.

They call me, and say they recomend me to changes all my rotor brake disc. They toll me I can still use my brake pads. I tell them I dont have or fill any problem with my brakes, and tell them not to change them.

They want almost U$ 100.00 for each one plus labor and they do not want to give me the part number of them.

I really apreciated if you can help me with the part number for the Front/Rear Brake Rotor Disc for my 2002 Octavia L&K 1.8T AGU engine with 110KW

These are the part number I found but many of the part numbers finish with a letter and I dont know what letter is the one for my car or if this is the correct par number

Front Ones: 1J0 615 301

Rear Ones : 1J0 615 601

What is the Minimum Thickness they can have to still use them? I going to check with another mechanic if I really need new rotor brake disc.

If I need them, I was thinking to get the part number and order plain non drilled aftermarket ones like PRIDE brand from www.skopar.com

What you think about PRIDE brand??? Any Advise

THX

Isaac

Come on........Nobody???

soory, don't know much about the L&K, but the vRS has wear indicators on it and tells you when you need to change. Normally on the disc a little circle appears. Not sure what wear warning you get on the pads.

Not sure about the brand either.

My L&K dont have that warning wear indicator option...........Also, that wear indicator light is for the brake pad when they need to be changed.
