video of winter tyre test on snow AND in 6 celcius wet (mostly our winter)

Featured Replies

Really surprised at the difference in performance in the snow, also a better performance in the cold/wet. Have never been a winter tyre convert until buying some for this year having seen that am glad I have done so, just now got to be wary of the car behind if they are still on summers!

thats the problem, but if it was law as in some country's then you would not have to worry.

The results in the snow are to be expected as it has been well covered before (remember the BMW's on the ice rink), but it is good to see them doing a comparison on a wet and cold (below 7°) road.

+1 to the vid

as the vid shows, you can brake, out-manoeuvre and accelerate away whilst the chap with summers on is still grasping their steering wheel with white knuckles as they become a passenger in their own vehicle
