Can some one explain this in a little more detail please

I assume the suggestion is that the VW Group make 7.8% profit. Within the group, Skoda make 9.4%, suggesting that the other operations make less profit bring the overall margin down?

Justin would be correct. Don't forget that Bugatti still have a massive negative number to add to the balance sheets, and VW have done all R&D on the new citiy-car. And Porsche make money hand over fist on the Cayenne!

If we taking about Volkswagen Group as a whole then their truck division also needs to be considered which includes Scania and MAN.

Furthermore what about the rest of their brands: Lamborghini and Bentley.

It was for cars not commercial. Also niche brands like Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti wouldn't make a blip on the volume brands numbers.
