Featured Replies

hi im new to the forum and wanted some advice on how to get my lhd fabia 2004 1.4 16v that i imported from greece ready to get british plates , i want advice on the cheapest and easist ways to get both foglights working on the rear , the headlights to dip to the left and the speedo converted to mph any help or advice i have done a lot of reserch but was hoping somebody may have all ready done this conversion thanks

Welcome to Briskoda, for getting both fog lights working on the rear i think you can get this activated using VCDS (Volkswagon software)

Rear foglights will probably need a wire putting in from the light which comes on, to the opposite side.

The headlights will probably need a UK set of lamps fitting

The speedo thing will need something like this:-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140640884368?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

but obviously for a 1.4 petrol. There are lots of 1.4s being broken for spares on Ebay so you should be able to buy a complete dashpod and just take out the cover bit and put it in your own dashpod.

Does the car have a switch for the rear fogs and a socket for them in the rear lights? If so wouldn't have thought it was too difficult.

Probably need to change the headlights for UK versions.

Out of curiosity why are you importing it? Would have thought the cost of importing, converting and taxing it as well the increased insurance premium for an import would add up to a fair bit.

Hi and welcome aboard.
