deadlocked drivers door with vandalised lock.

Featured Replies

Some toe rag has tried to break into my car using a screw driver. I't not an old ford fiesta so surprisingly it hasn't worked. The **** has managed to dead lock my door. I've tried all sorts of button sequences with no joy. I have managed to remove the skin and the inner skin off the door to expose the lock, thanks to other posts. I don't know how to open the lock manually any ideas?

I seem to remember this didn't even work on my old mk2 fiesta, seems a waste of time to try it on any modern car. I feel for you on this.

worked on my 1991 fiesta ........ an expensive lesson to learn at the time for me TWICE! First time they got in like that then just ripped lower cowel off to start by fingers someone else was using car and it was in their drive it got around the corner and 50 meters down road and ran out of petrol was abandoned on pavement ....... no one noticed and police highlighted it to us 4 days later

I would check your car insurance to see if it has lock and keys cover this might be covered independently to any lose of no claims bonus worth reading the policy stuff. I have had this cover on 3rd party F&T before only knew because I was sad enough to read it all.
