Octavia adding parking sensors?

Featured Replies

Hi

I've just bought an Octavia Estate, and wish to install parking sensors for the rear... how easy is this to do? Should I get Skoda to do it in an official garage, or are there kits on the market that would allow me to it myself?

Thanks for taking the time to help.

Welcome.

Depending on your level of skill they are pretty straightforward to fit.

Cobra make many OE quality kits.

i did mine - got a set of cheap ones from ebay - they colour match the car and look very very good

easy to fit too - markup, drill holes, fit sensors - route through boot grommet, attach to box of tricks - velcro and zip tie the box and buzzer to car near passenger rear light cluster - attach live wire to reversing wire, attach other wire to a bare metal ground - i used the rear cluster nut and bolt - made it bare metal first.

I also stuck a bit of leccy tape over buzzer - less harsh

took about 30 minutes.

Here's a pic of them:

Looks like the set I bought. Cost be £15 or thereabouts from eBay and less than an hour to fit. I'll be doing the same with SWMBO's new (to us) Fabia when we get it.
