Sensible modifications Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I've already installed a pd160 intake and had the furby remapped by angel tuning.

I am looking for other ways to modify the car whilst still maintaining a fairly oem look and not breaking the bank.

I think FMIC and hybrid turbos are off the table until next year after my pay review.

I was thinking lowering springs, a rear brace (found the thread on here where they are £50) and possibly trying to vinyl wrap the grille and a couple of other bits. Essentially nothing I cant remove and put back to standard.

Does this all sound like a good start and is there anything else that's a common mod for sensible money?

Thanks

If you're on standard suspension, a RARB makes a massive difference to the car's ability to corner without feeling like it's going to fall over. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

And how much are they? I was hoping to do a few mods(maybe one or two a month) that don't break the bank. I seem to remember people liking the whiteline one on cliosport.

Cheers

Because you've had the car remapped i'd deffo look into handling mods. A rear anti roll bar is a very good mod ( you can get the whiteline or jabba model) whiteline being the cheaper but still very good item.

Also look into suspension (coilovers or shocks/springs combo) personal preference on what you choose ( id choose the KW V1 coilovers if it were my money).

Brakes, 312mm off audi tt/octy vrs is a very good upgrade, you can find a decent 2nd hand set for around £150-£200 (i paid £250 for brand new Pagid discs/pads and refurbed callipers/carriers)

Bushes, you can fully polybush the car, ive done the console bushes at the front as the OE skoda ones were ruined. I replaced them with Cupra console bushes.

Things like FMIC, Hybrid turbos, Clutches/SMF's are the next stage = ££££

Dan the same thing happened to my bushes, one of them were totally disintergrated, I had Cupra bushes fitted too. Is it a common fault?
