I was out tonight driving around some country B roads enjoys the twists and turns. When I came to the end of my lovely spin I noticed a quite profound burning smell. I wasn't driving the car too hard, some hard braking at some points but nothing OTT.

Anyone else experienced this? The brakes are good, although after the brisk drive i noticed the pedal was a tad spongie for about 10mins after but its now as good as it was before.

I'd say it's pretty normal. The XDS diff will work the brakes hard without you really noticing it. I managed to cook mine after just a couple laps on track earlier in the year

agreed. I've cooked mine on hartside...

also, how many miles have you done? if the brakes are still quite new, and not used to abuse, they will burn a bit more readily...

nearly 2k miles.
