3. Can i use vcds and the hex-usb+can cable to scan/diagnose non vag cars eg. Brothers corsa d or dads kia

4. I do alot of work to my car myself i dont trust garages had bad experiences caught my rx-8 doin dougnuts when it was meant to be in the garage getting new tyres and a mot. So will i find vcds a handy tool to have.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer my questions.

1/ they are all around the £260ish mark. Ross-Tech Distributors

2/ yes pay for the interface (cable) and the software is free to download directly from Ross-Tech

3/ no, only on VAG cars (there is actually very limited things it can read on other marques, but don't rely on it and anything it does read will be a bonus  )

Thanks for the quick reply think ill be goin for it.

As Gizmo says, It's primarily for VAG, But it does have a generic OBD2 reader function, Which is a useful little extra!emoticon-0148-yes.gif
