Tyre on wrong direction

Featured Replies

I've put my winter tyres on this lunch time, and after fitting the last one, I noticed that it's the wrong direction for the wheel. emoticon-0120-doh.gif

All of the others are correct, and I assume that it was just missed when they put the tyres on as the direction is in tiny lettering in about 4 languages.

Is it safe to run with it for a couple of days until I can get it swapped round?

I would have put my normal wheels back on, but I completely over-ran my lunch hour as it was, so had to shoot back to work with it on.

You should be alright for a couple of days, Just don't drive about like your hair's on fire!

If it's not wet, it can't be too bad. As the directional sipes usually help with water removal.

Not sure legally, but couldn't you put the spare on for now?

At least that would let you leave the offending wheel at the tyre fitters to change it round.

Weather looks like it's going to be fine until tomorrow night luckily.

I'll give them a bell this afternoon.

Sorted.

Wheel balance seems a bit better as well now :)
