Blu-ray Disc/DVD player + Skype Help -

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Following on from my 'Home Automation' and pushing this idea forward. I need some further help with what seems like a really simple question.

So, Skype says - I can link my current TV beast with a BDP-S780 Blu-ray Disc/DVD player and a 'compatible webcam' and it will work. See here:

So, I looked and found the nice BDP-S70:

Model: BDP-S780

Feature packed player with internet vide, 3D, built in Wi-FI and Skype:

Question: I don't like the 'Compatible Webcam' statement on the website. Do you think anyother standard Video Conference Webcam will work?

My logic/knowledge says yes.... However I would like a 100% answer if possible.

Many thanks,

Only Sony Webcams AFAIK, as the new Sony TV's have Skype compatibilty also.

Thought so, then again - that isn't a bad price. Thanks :)
