Internal Lights fixed, thanks to Nackuk

Featured Replies

I'd like to thank Nackuk for fixing my Superb's internal lights. I had given up hope after my last venture under the carpets and was convinced i needed a new convienience module. Nackuk picked up my post and offered his help.He gave up his saturday morning and patiently set to work with his soldering iron a couple of hours later the car was back together lights working perfectly. He was sure it wasnt the module because it had obviuosly never got wet and he was right.

Thanks Nack i really appreciate what you have done and the money you have saved me, Top Bloke

Hopefully your problem is still limited to the wiring nodes and not the convience module like mine was....luckily. I hope i havnt set Nackuk up as a call out service as it was really decent of him to offer his help. When i had a go at the nodes on my car i did it in a bit of a rush....no soldering iron and little preperation. Have a go yourself if you are even basically confident of you own ability but when you get to the wiring loom take the time to unwrap it fully and find every node....Nack found at least 3 i had missed. I used block connectors which should have worked with clean stripped wires but soldering is best. I cant be sure which connection failed, the general opinion is the big bunch (11 wire node) in the rear footwell but i have my suspicion about a node again in the rear footwell of about 5 or 6 wires which are blue and grey stripes. When the rubber cover was taken off this node at least 2 rotten wires broke free, soon fixed by Nacks soldering iron. The rest you know.....hope this helps.

thanks for info
