Fabia MkII Vrs, are they a bit expensive....

Featured Replies

My local dealer has a Brand new Fabia MkII Vrs, Race Blue, Black Roof, Black/chrome Wheels, 3rd head rest, Digital Climate, Arm Rest, Sat Nav, rear park assist.

Very nice but it's £17995 on the road. Are these small skoda's getting a tad expensive.

The wife's is the same Spec but without the Sat Nav ( £500 ish ) but it was Vat Free.

You'd you pay Full Wack..........Not me emoticon-0145-shake.gif

In the show room New Monty 1.2 ( 105 bhp ) Red, Black Roof / wheels, Digital Climate, Arm rest, Rear Park assist but it's Vat Free £12.300

Big Difference

Definitely no way pay full wack, only because there are loads of others that are as good or better for the price, that's why it's only 14,000k if they were 17k they wouldn't sell at all ;)

Knowing a fair number have been sold on the no-VAT deal you'd have to have a screw loose to pay full whack IMO.

agree with all of the above, £18k is too much money for a fabia vRS... I hope skoda remember they are the budget brand! and there are better cars for £18k.....

but I suppose it depends on how much you can get them for rather than list price! most of us bought them on VAT free deals (I didn't, but the extra the ford dealer who had mine offered me for the fiat compaired to the skoda garage made up the difference! £1000 extra!!! eep! proves you shouldnt just "accept" a trade in offer...)

I just hate having to "bargin" with dealers, I usually just go in with the ADI badge and say "whats your driving school offer?" I got the fiat for £11k 20% off! with no barganing! and the dealer was happy because fiat paid him the difference, he sold at list price!

the only deal skoda offered me was free duals (£500) so the extra £1000 trade in from the ford garage meant i was £500 up!

if faced with the list prices for real.. the monty is nice, but I want more performance, I'd be tempted back to fiat, my grande did give me 107k miles of relatively trouble free motoring  but then the vRS is the best car I've owned so far! (bar maybe my lancia thema turbo)

there are other cheap performance hatches too, the twingo turbo cup is about £12k, the new swift sport ect ..... its always been my area, don't expect to pay more than £15k for a compact fast hatch to be honest

That's £5.5k more than the MK1 vRS! Its alot of money, if it were £14k basic otr I think they'd sell more. Glad I got mine VAT free too, didn't fancy paying £18.5k :/
