hi, Just been looking though some posts about putting a tdi engine in my pickup, and someone said you can swap the turbo, pistons, rods and head from an ahu onto the block which remained in situ. is it that simple a case of swapping the top end or is there a lot of messing about with wiring and persuading things to fit.

engine bits just swop.Need to make a downpipe and oil return to sump. Inlet fouls bonnet. Wiring the electronic pump/ecu is covered in the thread or you can fit a land rover discovery mechanical pump to the accelerator cable. Leave the power std tho the clutch struggles.
