I'm looking for a diesel Fabia estate and would like to know when the 1.4Tdi started to get the DPF (if it has one).

It's going to do a fair bit of town work, so I'd like to avoid a DPF if possible.

Think it was 2009 mine is pre DPF and it's brill, no matter how I drive it never get the diesel smog , think this is down to no superstore diesel and regular redex treatment

i don't think the dpf is only fitted to the 1.4tdi except to the greenline model and the new 1.2tdi and 1.6tdi engines in the fabia. happy to be corrected

i have just checked my copy of the old fabia brochure and it is only fitted to the 1.4tdi green line, the 1,4tdi and 1.9tdi in the non-greenline models dont have dpf
