Camshaft Position Sensor - Part Number Request

Featured Replies

Following on from another thread, my camshaft position sensor is believed to be faulty. I am struggling to find the correct part number.

My car is the PD140 BMP engine, I believe the part number maybe 045 957 147B , can someone with the knowhow please confirm this as the right one.

But I cannot confirm this as correct.

The local dealer wants £87 to run the diagnostics on the car, and I can source one cheaper from GSF assuming that is of course the correct part.

My cars warranty expired sometime ago now, so this is now a paid for fix.

Hi,

The part number you gave fits everything but the BMP engine, the part number I found for that engine is

03G 957 147B, this is for superb 2008 onwards.

If you give me a email address I can send you the parts page

Tony

PS Have just googled my part number and it cross references with the number you have, skoda price £84.19, much cheaper else where.

That does indeed look like the same part,

Now to order one. All I need then is to identify where the Bank 1 sensor is located.

I now have the part in front of me on my desk, so it will be fitted on Saturday weather permiting.

I have now replaced the sensor, it toot about 1.5 hrs to do as I have not replaced one before.

Result:

Engine light currently still on, but starting problem gone. I suspect I just need to get the code cleared off the computer now, or maybe it will go on its own eventually.

Fault cleared and engine light is now off again, and has not reappeared so looking good now.
