:confused: What is the most common cause for an oil leak in a Fabia ? Is it a serious problem ?

I'm guessing yours is leaking then?

Have you done an oil change recently? Or a service? If so, check the sump plug is done up ok and the fuel filter is done up.

One definate way to check where it is coming from if it's slow, is one late afternoon, clean the underside of the engine and put newspaper underneath overnight, preferably in a garage. In the morning you should see on the newspaper roughly where it is coming from. Also if you look underneath, you will see where it is leaking out of.

Does this newspaper trick work, as the Fabia has a plastic 'guard' under the engine doesn't it, so the oil might collect in this before dripping on the floor away from the actual leak...

How much oil is your car losing, ie is there a noticeable drop in level measured on the dipstick, or an oil pool under the car when you park?
