First Yeti oddity / Fault

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I've had my first yeti oddity / fault and it coincides with the first time we've had temps get below zero.

The front and rear passenger windows (both the same side of the car) opened fully/as far as they can when i set off on a Journey (auto magically).

When i closed them back up they kept coming back down part way.

I assume it was to do with the "anti trap" system but it was odd the windows opened themselves without prompting when the journey started.

After a bit of a fiddle with the seals, etc they closed up just fine.

However when i got back to the car (several hours later) the rear window had again opened a slight amount.

It hasn't done it since (even though it has gone below zero a couple of times more).

All very odd.

I assume nobody has had anything similar?

Might need to reset the anti-trap feature, do you loose the 'one touch' function too?

1 - Put key in drivers door

2 - Hold it in the open position and let all the windows drop

3 - Hold it in the lock position and let all the windows close

4 - That should hopefully(!) cure it

See page 42 in the Owners Manual - covers this issue

Hi,

No the one touch still works ok.

I actually assumed (when i got back) that all 4 windows would be down.

I've done the all 4 windows down with both my previous VW's and SEAT so i'm familiar with accidentally making that mistake.

When i returned the car was still locked and 3 of the 4 windows had stayed up.

I then tried the hold the fob down and the rest of the windows came down.

I then held it again (locking) and all 4 went up ok (and stayed up).

It seemed to be a weird oddity of the cold / ice and the anti-trap.

The passenger side of the car is the one that is exposed to the weather (when on the drive).

Happened a few days ago and hasn't happened since.

I'll do the anti-trap reset anyway.

Could be just one of those weird quirks.

Thanks for the replies.

Could be something to do with the 'rain closing' option possibly, if it is the reset should cure that.
