Continental Sport Contact 3

Featured Replies

I am just about to get a S/H Superb 1.8TSi and they are going to put Conti SP 3's, the new one, on the car.

Has anyone had any experience of these yet. Grip? Noise? Comfort? Wear?

I had SP2's on a Focus ST a few years and I only rated them as 'OK'

I have a sport contact 2 tyres x3 and one sport contact 3 :-D the reason is because i got a some screw into my tyre and i couldn't found any garages with contact 2. But now am thinking about to repleace 2 tyres and am looking for Contact 5.... Reviews looks good so we will see...

Any experience with sport contact 5????

Now having had two new CSpContact3's on the front and 3 months use I have found them to be good.

A big improvement on the CS2's I had a few years ago. They are quiet, comfortable and very grippy, certainly much better than the rubbish Dunlop Spoet Maxx GT's fitted to my VRS when new

I hope they're good as i have two brand new ones ready to be fitted.

The continental contact 3's have been on my car for 1.5k miles now after i picked up a puncture on one of my almost worn out vredestein sessanta.

I loved the vredesteins but wanted to go back to a 205/40/17 due to the occasional wheel arch rubbing.

The conti's have been very similar to the vredesteins but have a slightly more accurate steering which is good for fast cornering and boosting confidence.

If you can live with a 215/40/17 the vredestein is a great tyre and sells for a great price!

I replaced a pair of SC2s with the SC3s. Much the same apart from wear - the SC2s were much better. Looking to try the SC5s now myself - anyone fitted?

Just pulled the Sport Contact 2s off the arse end of mine, fine in the dry but not very good in the wet and jolly expensive. I now have Uniroyal Rainsport 2s and they're much better. Up front I've got Vredestein Sportrac 3s which seem good also, but seem to be wearing a bit fast! Sportrac 5 have just come out and I've yet to find out if they'll be avialable in 204/45 R16.

I have SP3's fitted to my car from new - good tyre, good grip, unless its wet and I floor it :)

I've just had the front pair of sport contact 2's replaced on the Octavia 205 55 16 for £150 fitted, which I thought was a good price. The SC2's coming off had only done 51400 miles and were at about 2-2.5 mm of tread depth.
