Hi there im new here and looking for a bit of advise. Bought an Octavia 2 vrs petrol 2006 and the engine management light has come on. The codes that have come up are evaporative emmisions incorrect flow. Im a tech with Honda so have done some fault finding and it seems to point towards the purge valve for the carbon canister but phoned local skoda dealer (only been a dealer for about 6 months) and they said there is no such thing as a purge valve on this car. has anyone else had this fault on their car? any help would be great. thanks very much

Sounds like an EGR valve issue.

Id agree with the first diagnosis, the valve for the evap system is N80 and mounted on the inlet manifold at the front, probably also wants a evap canister. There is quite a long test sequence a dealer can download from their TSB or from technical if they care to look.
