Stereo

Featured Replies

Hi All.

Previously tried installing my aftermarket Pioneer stereo, but found there was no remote wire. So they stereo would not turn off once i take the keys out. Ive moved wires around and stuff, but havent found one. Is this just an Octy thing, or am i being stupid? problem is, i get a massive battery drain because they stereo isnt off properly. Any help would be great.

There is no switched 12V supply on the Octavia MK2 as all the standard electronics are Canbus controlled, you need to run a wire direct from the main fusebox to get your switched supply. If you had purchased the aftermarket stereo kit from Skoda you would have got all the wiring and instructions on how to connect.
