I have got a problem with my Octavia L&K.

The driver's heated seat has stopped working so I took it back to the dealer's and was told that they could repair it for £185 as a module had failed but they refuse to tell me what module it is. Does anyone know which module they might be on about and where I can find it??

Phone a different dealers up and see if they will tell you. My local dealers once didn't give me a part number out which I needed that day and didn't have in stock so I went to VW who's parts guy spent 20mins searching for, for me. I then sent an email to the Md of the skoda dealers who sent me a personal apology and explained that their parts guy got mixed up and it was their policy to give parts numbers out.

How did they check if it was the module? Have you checked that none of wires under the seat has become detached?

I returned to Skoda again and was given a blank look when I asked for the part number of the 'module'. I then asked if they could look at the repair report to see what was done and what it says it the module is but it was not on the system. I felt like I had more chance of my wife repairing it then my local 'experts'. I came home and ran a VCDS scan and no errors came up, so I will need to find the plug for the elements and see if I have continuity there and basically do what Skoda were meant to.
