Featured Replies

How easy is it to fit mud flaps to the back of my vrs fabia? Any pics?

Very easy, just ned to trim the return lip of the back bumper a little so they fit snugly.

could anyone please post a few pics of this lip?

I would, But I cut mine off to fit the flaps!emoticon-0105-wink.gif

It's where the skirt bit of the bumper returns around the arch section where the mud flaps fit.

Won't this allow moisture to get under the paint though?

If you search there's some mention of other mudflaps fitting perfectly without modification, and sure I saw mention of warming them up so they become flexible enough to fit the VRS bumper.

didnt need to heat mine up

stanly kneif and go down the lip.

if you run your finger and the vrs bumper extension you feel the lip you need to cut

Mine came with all four :S Was it an option?

Doe fitting mudflaps on the rear reduce the amount of spray and general crap up the back of the car?

Can someone put a pic up of one with them on the back

Min's not a VRS, but I guess the parts are the same, so it should look rather similar (and seeing as no-one else has posted pics...) ... a little hard to see in the pics, as that part's in shadow ...

Best I could find with a Google was this ad on PistonHeads (look at the last pic) ... not the clearest due to shadows

Wonder what rear diffuser would look like on a mk1.. maybe a mk2 rear diffuser fits a mk1 with some hack and slashing..? I believe it would solve the dirt issue.

Check out my fabia thread in briskoda member section I got rear mud flaps. Easy to fit.

I was thinking about this... Think you've got no chance in a vRS bumper, wrong shape..... but the mk2 diffuser maybe bodgeable on to a stock mk1 bumper without the skirt... Don't think it'll make any difference at although.. I very highly doubt it actually diffuses what so ever....

Besides, 90% of the muck on the back comes down and from the exhaust.
