Brembo brake adaptors

Featured Replies

Hey all, i no a few fourm members have already got there head annoyed by me haha but basicly i need a set of adaptors for my focus rs brembos, i havent got a problem making a mock up set and then getting a set properly milled from alloy but i would just love to save tons of time if someone had the measurements or knew someone that could help out.

Here are what my brembos look like

sorry XA0SX for borrowing your thread but it makes what im talking about alot simpler.

From all the reading of fourms over the weekend i can make out that they are the same as the bmw ones and ferrari etc ones i know the fiat and peugoet ones have smaller mounting holes.

Mine are 130mm from centre to centre as in this pic

And this is a wee pic of the kinda bracket i need for my own

Now from what ive been talking with the other fourm lads i think it is just basicly a square bit of plate with 4 holes in it 2 for mounting to my brembos and 2 for mounting to my hubs. The bit i need to know is the distance from hub to caliper to suit my 322mm disc?

I am hopeing that someone has a answer for me or any info is greatly appricated.

Thanks

Matty

Godspeed do a Brembo 4 pot kit for 325mm discs. I'd give Ian a call on (01656) 723060 and see if he can supply just the brackets...

Alternatively Brent at CompBrake might be able to help you out.

Sorry I can't be any more help.

Best of luck!

Steve ;)

Thanks for your reply Steve, I must give Ian a wee bell see what he can do for me ive already been in touch with compbrake but no joy.

As i said if i get nowhere by the end of the week ill just order some discs and pads and fab a bracket out of steel and whenever i have it right ill get someone to make me a set out of alloy.

Best of luck mate!!

I recon you need to find a local machine shop, somewhere you can take your car, the brakes etc and they can get their measuring sticks out and work out measurements and dimensions.

You're not going to find something off-the-shelf to fit.

What size discs do the callipers hold? 28mm or 32mm? And how big a rotor can you use with them?

I have a set of 335mm x 32mm discs you can have for £50 plus postage costs if you're interested...

(Sorry to hijack!!)

Steve :)

i have some brembo adapters somehwere in my garage, they are for 312mm discs, but you can change that by putting spacers/shims when fitting, will see if i can find them.

mbt a german company do off the shelf adapters for retrofit applications, search for them on the web
