Car was in yesterday to see if the Injectors needed replacing. They Do

So picks it up, parks on the drive and this morning oil under the car, rings dealer, bring it back. Sat in the showroom for over an hour and finally get's it back

"Sorry gasket leaking and we've sorted it " get in sets off for home, no power takes it back " Sorry knocked a pipe off all should be fine ", Parked it up on the drive (other way round), just been to look and it's dripping oil again.

Can't wail till morning as it's B0ll0cking Time

Shall I let them replace the Injectors or go else where what do you think?

Which dealer is this? Name and shame.....

Yeah name and shame, main dealer, franchise, independant?

I wouldn't be keen on letting them loose any more but you need to be careful incase they've caused other damage/problems

They managed to do this BEFORE replacing the injectors!?

My dealer simply whipped off the plastic engine cover and had a look, took the guy less than 5 minutes to confirm the part numbers on my injectors.

What on earth were they doing? Gaskets, pipes?

How much have they offered you to have your driveway cleaned?

Name, shame and walk run away.

Bet I can guess what dealer this is....

What other one is there round here? ;)

No t Good Auric! Mine is going in January for a week to get a problem solved. Hope I dont suffer the same probs. Have to say to this date they have been brilliant. This of course is assuming you use the garage you have spoken about before.

Why do they even need to look at the injectors beforehand?

AFAIK the only Skoda affected by this is the Octavia VRS with the PD engine, I don't think any other Skoda model had these Siemens piezo injectors. Where there any VRS PDs built without the problematic injectors?

Can't they just say "Oh its an Octavia VRS PD, replace the injectors" or would that be too simple?! Perhaps they are checking they haven't been replaced already?
