Mudflaps

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm new to Skoda & BriSkoda & finally after nearly 8 months (thanks Mr. Clarkson!) I'm about 3 weeks from delivery of my Yeti Elegance 170tdi, so can't wait! Here's hoping that I have far more look with it than with my Alfa 156 that I've just replaced! Great car to drive, nightmare to own...you've heard it all before.

I do have a query with regard to the Yeti though. Can anyone tell me how the genuine mudflaps are attached? I'm thinking of getting them fitted, but am worried that if they're screwed or riveted through the bodywork, it'll allow rust to start. I know the body work is galvanised, but once it's drilled, rust will still be a risk. So I'm also thinking of fitting them myself so I can guard against it, & your thoughts on diy fitment would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Dead eaay, they fix with the inner wing fastenings, NO DRILLING involved. Should take you 5 mins to do the first one, then about 2 mins each to do the rest, easier if you take the wheels off, but can be done without.

Hi thanks for the info, that's good news! That's a coincidence, my Yeti will also be silver & we're South Cheshire too(Scholar Green). Will keep my eye out, although haven't seen any other 170tdi's around here yet. Thanks again.
