Door Liners

Featured Replies

I finally ordered the Octavia last week; SE Plus 1.6TDI in steel grey with a few extras; fog lights, climate control with the Jumbo box, auto dimming rear view miror spare wheel and ESP.

Delivery is estimated at mid-March but am awaiting a date from the dealer. In the meantime I was browsing the used section of the Skoda site and came across this view of the interior of a few months old Octavia. http://www.skoda.net.r66.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=602206488 (I'd have inserted the photo but haven't out how to do that yet! Doh.)

It has light coloured door linings and glove box which I really don't like. I can't see them as an option and all the other ones I have seen are black - is there a danger that Skoda will build my car with coloured ones? Should I check with the dealer or am I just being paranoid?

Depends what interior colour you have spec'd - I think the top half of the dash is black regardless of the colour options specified ie. above silver trim line, gloevbox upwards.

If you have spec'd black/onyx interior then the bottom half will be black like the top. The ivory/biege option (or whatever they call it these days) will be like that picture.

I've spec'd the onyx / black trim and I thought that just related to the seats and there wasn't any choice anyway (no other option is shown in the brochure) - it just came as black with the dash and door liners black too.

As an aside it is stange that Skoda use 'onyx' to mean black as the mineral onyx can be any colour from black to white!
