WRC stickered Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi, I was dropping my bro off at Pilling Skoda (MK) yesterday to get his Octy fixed and saw the back of an interesting looking Fabia in the showroom. I never went in to look at it but was just wondering if anyone else has seen what it is? It was covered in what looked like the WRC stickering and had a bigger than normal roof spoiler. Has anythingbeen announced recently about a ltd edition finally being released?

Cheers

Hmmmm not seen it ill pop in this weekend

Any chance of taking a pic or two please?

I popped downt here the other day and had a chat with Paul on reception.

Apparently its a 1.4 16V rally car that has been loaned to Pilling's for a static demo for the showroom for a while.

Nabbed a couple of pics with my camera phone sorry they are a bit rough.

Not a WRC car but been prepped to FIA (or whatever specs) in the Czech republic.

Looks ok to me.

Could do with a better front spoiler though

I think that is the car that was running on the clubman section of the Tempest Rally in November last year. There are a few pictures of it on Tony Large Photographic . Click on rallying in the top menu and then choose the Tempest Rally page and either scroll thorugh to page 8, or use the drop down list to go directly.

Ok it isn't all that, but all I saw was the back so thought it was pretty rallye. The front lets it down a bit and whats with such a small engine... I guess we'll never know.

The front lets it downa bit but is standard, the class it run in meant it had to use the std bodywork and fittings. As the vRS wasnt out at the time those parts couldnt have been used. And the 1.4 engine is the best petrol one available and competes against cars of the same class.
