Hope this doesn't seem a little 'thick', but my headlamps have a single projector globe lamp and a redundant 5W5 sidelight bulb in the space where I expected the main beam.

Anyhow, the side light bulbs do not operate. Just the DRLs work as both DRL and sidelight function.

Any advice ?

Is it a vRS, if so the inner bulb is a fake, the puter is the dipped and main, the DRL is the DRL and the side lights. Had the same question myself and the manual doesn't say a damn thing about it!

I'm not doubting you, but the wiring is all correct in there for the side light. Seems a waste, but maybe they did this to avoid the costs of re-design.

I asked the same question a couple of weeks back after plaing around for an age trying to get them to work. I can only assume that as you say it was cheaper to use an off the shelf part rather than redesign a whole new unit!
