Very very heavy condensation inside Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

It was so bad on the weekend it was like being in a shower cubicle. Drove the car for over an hour and it was so thick i could barely see in some cases.

Does anyone know if leaving the vents open would cause this?? I have heard closing the slats would prevent this from happening.

I have already de-leaked the car. Rear doors have been siliconed. However, i think i probably need to check the fronts.

I cant remember it being as bad as this last year..

Mine is this bad. I've discovered the problem with mine though. On the boot seal, where the latch is, the seal has been flattened to the extent that heavy rain come over it and down behind the plastic trim.

I've yet to sort it out though...

I'd try leaving the vent to the feet position when left between journeys it should help a little once the moisture is out of the car

Check your scuttle panels drains. Also, in these conditions, might be worth removing the pollen filter.

Also, also, have you checked/inspected the bootom of the doors when first getting into the car after a downpour. You may have a leaky door carrier...

PS: I had to use a cloth plus squeegee on mine (inside) the other morning. Plus it's already iced up both inside and out this year.

Have you actually checked the underfelt - is it dry? Don't just feel the carpet - particularly on the front since the frontal section of underfelt is rubber topped and will conceal the hidden moisture trapped there.

EDIT - for info mine was standing for two days on my father's drive this weekend and the windows were perfectly clear when driving off this morning
