ecu swop over

Featured Replies

Hi guys with my stage 2 ecu coming any day know (cheers black vrs) i was wondering is there anything i should do when swaping them over i.e disconnect the battery etc. And am i right in thinking the ecu is underneath the scuttle panel and do i need any specialist tools. Cheers

question is do you have the same mods as the person selling the ecu??? as the map would have been done to suit his mods

Yeah all mods the same.

The scuttle panel comes off in two halves, the ECU is in a cradle underneath the middle. There are two multiplugs with plastic locking buttons on them that you remove then theres a metal clip you need to release to slide the ECU out of the cradle.

Should be do-able with a couple of flat bladed screwdrivers.

Not sure if there's any immobiliser coding in the ECU that will cause a problem or whether it works through the ignition. The only time I've removed the ECU we put it back into the same car.
