Hello,

I'm a new member, we bought an 09 Fabia Greenline last week, we needed to buy a second car and it was going to be a second car but it seems to have become car number one. We bought it because of the miniscule running costs as our other car is an Astra Twin Top 2.0 turbo and costs a fortune to run (£445 per year in road tax compared to £20 for the Fabia) so the two are balancing each other out!

Very impressed with the Fabia, but I thought we would be. My dad has had a Fabia before (he had a Mk1 Elegance) and now he has a Roomster so I'm used to Skodas. It's taken me a good few years to convince my husband to buy one but he has long since got over his badge snobbery and is now smugly driving around in the 'eco-beast' as he has called it!

It's a fantastic little car, we love it.

Welcome to the forum.

The running costs on the Greenline are pretty impressive.

Very impressive - I went out in the Astra the other day and felt a bit sick looking at the fuel consumption figures on the trip computer compared to the Fabia! That's why it's been relegated to second car status (although that might change if we get a nice summer next year B) ).

Hello venusinflares and welcome along

Hi and welcome aboard.
