Squeaking When Reversing

Featured Replies

Over the past few weeks I have noticed a squeak coming from the front of the car while reversing. Not moved the car today and it's rained all day but just reversed it down the road and the squeak has got louder, something to do with the rain??. Had new brakes pads fitted 2 months ago so can't be that.

More info needed ie what sort of squeak and when it happens. Does it happen constantly or intermittently etc.

Are you sure it's the front? As the rear brakes are known for 'mooing'.

Helper springs are what you need if it's the back brakes.

Just been for a run in the car and the noise has gone. It must have been due to the wet and cold, it's rained really heavy today. Thanks for your help guys.

Sounds really silly but is the hand break definately taken off, back breaks may be sticking...
