I am now the owner of a very nice Candy White Yeti (see thread) and my signature used to hold the full waiting time history. For those of you starting the long wait , or part way through, or even almost at arrival time, this is how it was for me - this was my signature:

Ordered Week 15 of 2011 (mid April...***....Build Week 36 then later (mid July) changed to 38, then (mid Aug) changed to 42, late Sept - moved to 46, early Oct changed to week 47, changed (mid Oct) to week 49, late Oct, changed back to week 47, (18/11) build week confirmed as 47 (next week at time of typing!), 1st Dec - It's arrived at Emden, 13th Dec - Dealer says Yeti still at Emden! 14th Dec | Skoda UK - Yeti was put on the ferry on the 12th, Dealer says it's still showing as on the ship - bit different from yesterday??? Yeti to arrive at Dealership Tues 20th - possible pick up Friday pm! Fri 23rd Dec - at Dealership and in the middle of the handover process Skoda UK phone to say the car is at the Dealership

During this time I found it far easier and quicker to ger an answer direct from Skoda UK (0800 316 7895) although some operators may try to encourage you to phone the Dealer. I knew my order number off by heart - it's like being in the Army again!

The worst thing to do when you have been notified that your vehicle is at the Port of Emden is to ship watch! Been there, got the T-Shirt, read the book (soft and hard back), seen the film (and the sequel), even got autographs, and it is very, very frustrating - don't do it!

I also became an avid reader of every post that was on the Yeti Forum - a very informative and helpful Forum

If you have your delivery history then post it here - it may help others!?

Don't forget that Briskoda is far greater than the Yeti forum.

Skoda do make other cars believe it or not :lol:

Remember that the Yeti forum is only for Yeti specific topics, and many topics I have read, (and occasionally started myself) should be in a different section on Briskoda.

I encourage all Yeti owners to escape 'our' little area and take a look at the rest of the site. There is some very useful information out there that is relevant to a Yeti, but common to many Skoda's.

And then there is the general car chat area or even off topic area.

Like Mark Cavendish winning the BBC SPOTY award as an example.

That has been some marathon wait that you have had to endure. And how great that it has come just in time for - er - Christmas!! You'll be able to escape the duties and do some serious testing over the next few days.

I hope that you find the YETI as good a vehicle as the rest of us have - and mine isn't far off 2 years old, and still every bit as grin-inducing as when I picked it up.
