vrs estate lowering

Featured Replies

hi peeps i have a 2005 mk1 vrs estate and i am thinking about lowering it but i am unsure about what or were to go about getting these things (1st time i will have had a lowered motor ) mnay thanks in advance and have a happy crimbo

Depends how low you want to go, whether you want it to be adjustable and what wheels and tyres you have.

Mine's lowered on coilovers and I have 18x8 wheels.

I had to fit 215 rather than 225 tyres to stop it rubbing at the back. The 225s on the front also rub a bit on full lock.

I have VMAXX coilovers which have been on for 8 months and I plan to replace them soon as I am not happy with the ride, too bouncy.

Probably looking at a set of H&R coilovers to replace them.

Ive got jom plus coilovers on mine, same as vmaxx ones and i find them to bouncey on rear, dont think rear springs are strong enough and mines a hatch,

Ive got a friend making me another set of springs made up to go on coilover height adjuster

I have koni adjustables and h+r springs on mine, not bouncy at all,if anything maybye a bit firm at the rear but rear shocks are at full setting, just can't be bothered to take them back off to adjust them.
