Featured Replies

Hello, I'm new here. I'm looking for winter tires for may new yeti 1.2. tsi (215/60/16). Can anybody help me!

Hi and welcome,

have you tried Delticom AG (mytyres in the UK)

Have a number of on-line tyre shops throughout Europe and beyond.

MyTyres or costco could also try local fast fit places, and I know the two firms closest to me have been advertising winter tyres quite heavily

And - welcome to this forum.

Try Oponeo, http://www.oponeo.pl/ who are in Poland and http://www.reifen.de in Germany. They both operate in many languages and parts of Europe.

215/60 R 16 are expensive. You might want to consider 205/60 R16 96H which are cheaper and work very well on the car, despite a debate on this forum about whether they are 'approved' or not. If you can find the Goodyear UltraGrip 8 (the best of the new winter tyres of 2011) in that size, you will not be disappointed. They are working superbly on our Yeti.

Currently running the Hankook W310 on my Monster in the 215/60 R16 size and I'm happy with it. Admittedly this year so far has been mild in most parts of the UK compared to the last couple of winters.

Previously used the Nokian WR G2 in 205/55 R16 and they were very good in all conditions, so I would expect similar of the D3.

Hope that's of help,

TP

Just fitted Goodyear Ultragrip 8 and like them.

Thank You All

I have 205/60/16 Barum this is my second winter and they do the job very well.

I have paid 82 Euro for piece

11 posts and it still hasn't been moved.

The mods must all be too busy enjoying Christmas :giggle:

Quite right too. There are similarly generic threads in the Octavia section too. I guess some people just don't realise their query can be common across the range (eg a bolero query).
